Its well known that if you ring your ISP/mobile etc providers and tell them your leaving you get offered an incentive to stay but it never used to be so easy.
It’s amazing these days how quick they will drop your broadband price package when requesting a MAC code.
After being with my present ISP for almost 3 years, a couple of weeks ago i decided to ring them to request a MAC, my service with them has been excellent throughout but as i could go to their parent company and get a similar package cheaper as i am on their mobile network i decided to request the MAC to see if i got a better offer, i’m happy to say i did within 2 minutes i was offered my present package same speed uploads/downloads etc all that changed was the price, i am now paying exactly half the price i was paying them nearly 3 years ago when i signed up, so if your thinking of leaving your ISP it’s worth seeing what they can offer you first.
